Linear rail - Steel
E53-BS53
This E53 zinc-plated steel linear rail with its BS53 stainless steel roller runner consists of a zinc-plated steel rail and one or more runners. The number of runners is limited only by the length of the rail, generally 1 to 3 per rail. Its length is adapted to the user’s needs, up to 2500 mm. The standard rail lengths in stock are 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 mm.
Typical applications requiring quiet, compact guiding include sliding doors, small to medium-sized protective covers or housings, and lift-type guiding systems.

Applications
This linear rail is designed for medium loads in applications requiring a very compact footprint, such as small covers or housings for protection on machinery.
It is suitable for the rail industry and can be used in the design of gap fillers (telescopic footsteps)
The load is the maximum force that can be supported per runner. This type of product does not tolerate well loads that subject it to torque. As far as possible, the load should therefore be centred, or a second runner used to cancel out this torque.
Please refer to the technical data sheets for exact values.
The maximum speed for linear rails is 0.5 m/s.
This product can be used as a translation guide, guide bar or rod, suspended rail, handling rail, door rail, horizontal sliding rail, or vertical guiding as for a guillotine-type mechanism.
Manufacturing
The E53 rail is made of drawn steel. All the rails we ship are supplied with an anti-corrosion treatment. Additional surface treatments are available.
The rail is fitted with rubber-covered pin-type stops at each end. They are designed to serve as end-of-travel stops. If adding stops, care should be taken not to strike the plastic part of the runner.
Runner adjustment and setting:
The rail-and-runner system is supplied assembled with minimal play and optimal rolling properties.
We supply a set of rails and runners assembled and therefore pre-set. If a runner is supplied separately, or if it has to be fitted in another rail, or if you have non-standard operating requirements, an adjustment can be carried out. Note that correct adjustment of the runner determines the service life of the assembly.
Chambrelan specialises in the design and manufacture of ball-bearing telescopic slides and linear rails for industrial applications: reinforced slides, linear slides, ball rails, roller guiding, metal runners in steel, aluminium and stainless steel with locking, blocking, and full extension, partial extension, double travel or super extension versions for heavy-duty industrial drawers and mechanical panels.
Maintenance
The rails are factory-lubricated with a high-pressure bearing grease for optimal service life.
In the case of special conditions (abrasiveness, high cycle rates), regular and systematic maintenance should nonetheless be planned.
The runners must be greased regularly.
