Steel sliding rail
Since 1956, Chambrelan has been manufacturing demanding solutions to meet the demands of industry professionals. To ensure quality equipment, Chambrelan is supported by a team of engineers and developers to make regular technical improvements to the range of drawer slides and sliding rails.
The sliding rails allow easy handling of industrial sliding doors or lift beds in the medical environment. Several materials are offered to best suit your needs, with our stainless steel sliding rails and aluminium sliding track. Learn more

1. How are zinc-plated steel sliding rails manufactured?
At Chambrelan, steel sliding rails are made from carbon steel. They are then treated with a thin layer of zinc, directly in our factory in Normandy. This treatment improves protection against corrosion, making the rails strong, durable and capable of smooth movement without jerks, even under heavy loads.
2. What types of steel sliding rails does Chambrelan offer?
Chambrelan offers two main families of steel sliding rails:
- models with ball-bearing linear rails for heavy loads and industrial environments,
- and models with roller runners linear rails, which are quieter and ideal for medium loads.
Ball-bearing linear rails: for heavy loads
These rails consist of a fixed rail and a ball-bearing runner that slides inside. Very robust, they can support loads of up to 600 kg per runner. Ideal for industrial use, they are rigid, precise and suitable for several configurations (flat or on edge). The only drawback is that they are slightly noisier in operation.
Roller runners linear rails: for silent movement
More compact and quieter, roller runners linear rails are perfect for medium loads up to 100 kg per runner. The runners moves smoothly inside the rail. This type of rail can be customised (lubrication, treatment, locking, etc.) to meet your requirements.
3. Do zinc-plated steel rails require maintenance?
Yes, but maintenance remains simple. All rails are treated for long-term durability, and you can choose from different types of finishes: reinforced zinc plating, nitriding, special lubrication (food-grade, PTFE-free, etc.). For specific requirements, Chambrelan can adapt its products on request.
